| The Lyric Arts Trio is a fresh and innovative chamber
ensemble of clarinet, soprano voice and piano that has been delighting
audiences throughout the Midwest for 20 years. The trio combines
the best of vocal and instrumental worlds, and concerts are enlivened by
informative (and even amusing) commentary from the musicians. The
ensemble presents concerts of solos, duos and trios with programs
constructed around a central theme. Sample tour programs include:
"A Shakespeare Festival," "Hearts and Flowers," "Great Poets," and
"American Voices," a new program for next season. The Lyric Arts
Trio has a wide and varied repertoire from Mozart to exclusive
commissions, and will premiere two new works in 2010. The Lyric
Arts Trio is a participant in the Kansas Arts Commission touring program
and the Mid America Arts Alliance touring program. Underwriting
for performances and educational activities may be available from the
KAC or M-AAA. |
